Mild steel grating:

Mild steel grating is available in many different types and profiles, economic and strong with superior spanning capabilities. Mild steel grating is typically supplied with a plain surface but a serrated surface is also available on our most common mild steel grating products.

Our Mild steel grating products along with all our grating products are manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS 1657 for fixed platforms, walkways and stair.

Materials:

Mild steel grating load bars are manufactured from steel that complies to AS/NZS 3679.1.2010 G300 or equivalent.

Finish:

Hot dip galvanised to meet the requirements of AS/NZS 4680 (G)

We can supply stock sheets of steel grating any length up to 5800mm span for clients to do their own fabrication but we typically supply a fully fabricated surface to meet your requirements.

It is important to check the load bar direction (span) when ordering mild steel grating as it needs to be supported in a specific way. The load bars are the flat bars standing on their edge in which the grating is manufactured from, the supports need to be at 90° (perpendicular) to the load bar direction.

Standard sheet sizes:

Series 1 grating: 995mm (wide) x 5800mm (span)

Series 2 grating: 1005mm (wide) x 5800mm (span)

Series 3 grating: 965mm (wide) x 5800mm (span)
